The Role
We have an exciting opportunities for Signal Processing Engineers who would like to join a fast-growing, learning-friendly environment. You will join the Data Science Team and working on innovative health remote monitoring solutions to deliver actionable clinical analytics to enable delivery of precision care. You will be based in Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi, with an initial on-boarding period of three month in Singapore. You will be working in an interdisciplinary team with members located in Singapore, Australia, Mexico and a growing team in Vietnam.
Responsibilities
Research and develop novel signal processing algorithms applied to bio-signal analysis to derive meaningful clinical insights.
Mine existing biomedical signal data-sets to support algorithm design and optimization.
Analyze sensor performance
Experiment with adaptive analog and digital noise reduction
Parameter extraction in the presence of noise
Assist in Quality Management and Medical Approval process
Assist in clinical verification, onsite investigations and clinical research.Optimise ECG/ EMG generated electro fetal signals from our medical-grade wearable hardware
Consult with Singapore based Product Manager and Software Lead on design and execution
A day in the life of
Start at our coworking space with coffee or breakfast event
Daily scrum (15 min) with the Development Team in our meeting room
Work on your sprint backlog items (i.e. develop signal processing algorithm)
Brainstorm with the other members of the data science team and product manager
Have lunch either at the coworking space canteen/ bar or head out in District 1
Continue working on your sprint backlog items from common breakout area
Have daily alignment Video Conference with your Singapore counterpart
Reach out to the Scrum Master for English and communication support
What you’ll need
Have you got experience as a Signal Processing Engineer and performing data analysis with C, C++ and Matlab? Are you an eager learner, able to work independently as well as in teams and interested in (MedTech) startups? Would you like to work on a solution that improves maternal and fetal health? If so, you may be our new team member!
Must haves
Obtained a degree (BSc/M.S./PhD) in Computer Science, Electrical and Electronic Engineering / Applied Mathematics, or related discipline
Experience as a Signal Processing Engineer, Data Scientist or equivalent
Experienced in data analysis using C, C++ and MATLAB
Ability to work independently, strong critical thinker, detail oriented with strong documentation skills
Available and interested to work in the Singapore office for a period of three to four months
Great communicator, active listener, interpersonal relationship skills and a strong team player
Good command of written and conversational English
Nice to haves
Industry experience including medical technology is a plus
Familiar with bio-signals (ECG, EEG, and other types of biomedical/healthcare data) is a plus
Experience with Machine Learning and programming languages such as Python are ap lus
Interested in startups and entrepreneurship
