Colibri is all about growth. FinTech startups in Singapore and Tech talent in Vietnam have a lot to gain from each other. We are here to make that partnership a success by connecting them, as well as facilitating remote collaboration and codevelopment.
Colibri enables Tech startups to grow and scale their Tech capabilities, while giving them time back to focus on their core activities. The ability of a Tech startup to scale and get their products to market is strongly dependent on finding, attracting and retaining the right IT talent.
Colibri takes time-consuming activities out of their hands, such as (1) finding and connecting to the right IT talent in Vietnam, (2) setting up remote working that enables collaboration and (3) facilitating structured and agile day-to-day codevelopment practices. The idea for Colibri grew for over a year of observing technology startups in Singapore struggle with three related challenges.
Colibri enables Tech talent to grow and further develop their professional skills and capabilities, while providing an exciting opportunity to work in an International and innovative environment. Vietnam is fully participating in today's global market, which provides an excellent opportunity for Tech talent in Vietnam to flourish.
Tech talent in Vietnam are considered some of the best globally which offers a unique position to connect with International innovative and disruptive startup companies. Hayley Bakker - Founder
Having lived and worked in the Netherlands, Singapore, Hong Kong and now Vietnam I believe that our ability to experience different ways of working, different cultures and disciplines is the most valuable lesson we could learn. From 8 years of working within banks (Standard Chartered, Rabobank) and consulting for banks (KPMG), three things really stood out: (1) Their lack of customer focus, (2) siloed way of working and (3) limited and slow pace of IT enabled change. This provides the perfect conditions for FinTech startups to show them how it's done!
Combining my experience in financial services and professional service with a strong desire to connect and develop people, I decided to found Colibri to connect FinTech startups and IT talent. Colibri aims to overcome some of these traditional challenges, using a combination of design thinking, lean and agile practices to enable collaboration and codevelopment between Singapore Fintech startups and Vietnam IT talent.
