The Team & Product

Diversely is founded and ran by two forward-thinking entrepreneurs, with a passion and drive to improve diversity across the tech industry specifically, and in the general workforce. The Diversely hiring platform consists of three modules: Sourcing, Selection, Hiring. Each module leverages smart intervention tools, real-time analytics and embedded learning to remove bias from the hiring process and increase the breadth of talent. We will start by building out the sourcing module, with tools including an AI based job description bias-checker, an automated job-ad poster and an applicant profile anonymizer.

We are currently hiring the tech team in HCMC, our Tech Lead/ Fullstack Engineer is just joining our team, next we are hiring an AI data scientist and finally we hope that a friendly and eager to learn frontend developer will join our team too… We hope you will consider joining us on this exciting and meaningful journey.

The Role

As part of the tech team, you will be working directly with the Tech Lead and Fullstack Engineer in HCMC. We will work in Agile sprints using Jira and daily huddle calls with the Product Owner based in Singapore, who will provide the updated product backlog and UI/ UX designs and components for you to work with. You will be flexible to work from home or work from our office in Da Kao, D1 HCM, with other Colibri team members, as you prefer. In this role you will be responsible for the frontend development of the platform under supervision of the Tech Lead. We are happy to hear your ideas and suggestions for the technology stack and more.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the tech lead and product owner to develop (features of) the platform and the frontend mainly.

  • Work with a wide range of systems, processes and technologies to build new features for internal and external users of Diversely.

  • Develop and implement test including unit, functional and integration tests to ensure systems are working as intended.

  • Work to meet development standards and write consistent code base and documentation.

What you’ll need

Are you a frontend developer, do you excel at problem-solving and have excellent English communication skills? If so, you may be our new team member.

Must haves

  • The ability to work directly with the tech lead and to take ownership of (parts of) frontend development.

  • Interest in developing web products, including building UI components and boiler templates.

  • Strong experience on ES6, Html5, CSS3 and ability to write code for responsive design

  • Experience with Javascript frameworks for frontend development including React.js, Redux, Saga etc.

  • Foundational skills for upholding best practices in coding and documentation.

Nice to haves

  • An eye for design (graphic, UX and UI) all nice-to-have

  • Having worked in a startup environment and/or on an HR tech product

  • You enjoy writing automated unit and integration tests (i.e. React test library, jest)

  • Shared passion for making the tech industry more diverse

  • We value experience, but mostly value mindset, so also open to fresh talent
