We’re looking for an engineer with a demonstrated background (and interest!) in building products and systems; you’re comfortable designing and developing with lots of moving pieces (startup environment); and are keen to work in an English speaking environment.

The Team
Diversely is founded and ran by two forward-thinking entrepreneurs, with a passion and drive to improve diversity across the tech industry specifically, and in the general workforce. The Diversely hiring platform leverages smart tech driven tools, real-time analytics and embedded learning to remove bias from the hiring process and increase the breadth of talent at the recruitment stage. We have just launched the first product release including three tools: job ad bias-checker, an automated job ad poster and an applicant profile anonymizer.
We are registered in Singapore, but have team members around the globe and our tech team in HCMC. We hope you will consider joining us on this exciting and meaningful journey.
The Role
As part of the tech team, you will be working directly with the product owner (based in Singapore) and the team in Ho Chi Minh City, in Agile sprints using Jira and daily huddle calls. You will be flexible to work from home or work from our office in Da Kao, D1 HCM, with other team members, as you prefer.
In this role you will be working with our tech lead, frontend developers and AI engineer to further develop the Diversely platform from current first release (we just launched) to full fledged product.
Responsibilities
Work with the product owner and tech lead on the development of the platform end-to-end.
Help to develop and maintain the core Diversely platform and tools together with the tech lead.
Work closely with frontend to implement backend API’s into the frontend UI
Apply development standards and maintain consistency in code bases and documentation.
What you’ll need
Are you a Software Engineer with some experience developing products? Do you enjoy researching and problem-solving? Are you able to communicate in English? If so, you may be our new team member.
Must haves
Can work directly with the product owner in English, values open and clear communication
Can translate functional requirements and design into technical solution and tasks.
Experience developing web products with Javascript, ES6 and NodeJS
Experience with AWS, docker and CI/CD
Experience integrating with existing and building new API’s
Nice to haves
Experience writing automated unit and integration tests
Having worked in a startup environment and/or on an HR tech product
Experience with MySQL and MongoDB
Having worked in frontend using ReactJS
