The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Cloud Engineer who would like to join a fast-paced, learning-friendly environment. You will be working from HCMC in an interdisciplinary team with members located in both Singapore and Vietnam, helping to deliver solutions to computational scientists and engineers, using a wide range of technologies. In this role you have a say in the development of our product and we encourage you to share your views and ideas.
Responsibilities
Ensure security resilience and high-availability of the product infrastructure
Consult with upper management on implementation and delivery strategy
Write IaC to conrol the Cloud Infrastructure for Dev team
Work with Dev team to integrate components together and fix bug
Work with the QA team to ensure production readiness
Join daily scrum meeting, planning, scumming with whole dev team
Documentation - Propose your solutions and get it running
What you’ll need
Are you working towards or have you completed a BSc/MSc/PhD in Distributed Systems, Computer Science or a related discipline? Are you an eager learner, who excels when working in a team, interested in startups? If so, you may be our new team member.
Must haves
Have a degree in Distributed Systems, Computer Science or a related discipline
Two years minimum experience as a Cloud Engineer/ DevOps role
Experience with cloud services and infrastructure, which may include:
o AWS Hands on knowledge
o Terraform experience
o Linux System and Monitoring on Linux System (Grafana or Prometheus)
o Docker and CI/CD System like Jenkins, CircleCI, Gitlab Pipeline or other
o Database like MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, Redis
o System Security, Networking
o Bash script
Basic understanding of data at rest and in-transit security
Good command of written and conversational English and good communication skills
A problem-solver, eager to find new solutions, comfortable with learning at work
Used to working based on Scrum methodology and with kanban boards
Nice to haves
Experience with cloud providers and infrastructure solutions such as:
o GCP Azure Cloud
o K8S
o Logging system
o Cloud Cost Control
Experience with programming and script languages like Python, Go
Interested in startups, venture capital, growth hacking, and entrepreneurship
Other tools used
Multi-tier applications development including:
o HTTP protocol methods, REST APIs
o Integrating tiers, Testing multi-tier applications
Software product engineering
o Test-driven and Review-driven software/ infrastructure development
o Lean agile development methodologies
o System testing, Stress testing
